Information We Collect
When you book a free trial lesson, register as a student, or apply as an instructor, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, time zone, instrument or teaching interests, and scheduling preferences. This is submitted through our secure registration system and is used solely to match you with an instructor and manage your lessons.
Our website also automatically collects standard technical data (such as browser type and IP address) via server logs and caching/performance tools, consistent with normal website operation.
How We Use Your Information
- To match students with a vetted, approved instructor
- To schedule and communicate about lessons, trials, and exam preparation
- To review and approve instructor applications
- To respond to inquiries submitted through our Contact page

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Instructor Vetting
Prestige operates as a marketplace: instructors apply and are personally reviewed and approved by our admin team before being permitted to teach. Information submitted by prospective instructors is used exclusively for this vetting process.
Cookies
Our site uses necessary cookies for essential functionality, security, consent preferences, and caching performance. With your permission, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the website and which pages or calls to action are most helpful.
Analytics cookies and the Google Analytics tag are blocked unless you allow the Analytics category in our cookie banner. We have disabled Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals in our website configuration. Google may process technical information such as browser and device details, approximate location derived from IP address, visited pages, referring source, campaign parameters, and interactions with links. We use this information to improve website performance, content, and the free-trial journey; we do not use it to identify students individually or sell personal information.

Prestige Shorts Publisher (YouTube API)
In addition to the practices described above, Prestige College of Music operates an internal tool called “Prestige Shorts Publisher” to publish and manage video content on Prestige’s own YouTube channel (@prestigecollegeofmusic). This section explains that tool’s specific use of Google/YouTube data.
What the App does
The App is a first-party, internal content-publishing tool. It is used exclusively by Prestige College of Music staff to:
- Upload video content (piano and guitar lesson Shorts and long-form lessons) to the Prestige College of Music YouTube channel
- Create and manage playlists on that same channel
- Post and manage comments on videos on that same channel
- Read basic channel and video metadata (titles, descriptions, statistics) for the same channel
The App does not operate on behalf of any user other than Prestige College of Music’s own YouTube channel. It is not a multi-tenant product, is not offered to the public, and no third party grants it access to their own YouTube account.
Information accessed via the YouTube Data API
Through the YouTube Data API v3, the App accesses Prestige College of Music’s own YouTube channel data (videos, playlists, comments, channel statistics). The App does not access, collect, or store personal data belonging to viewers of Prestige’s YouTube channel, subscribers, or commenters, beyond what YouTube itself displays publicly (e.g., the text of a public comment reply, in order to reply to it as the channel owner).
How this information is used
Information accessed via the YouTube Data API is used solely to operate and manage the Prestige College of Music YouTube channel — publishing lesson content, organizing it into playlists, and engaging with public comments on that content. It is not sold, shared, or used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the channel.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Prestige Shorts Publisher’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Credential security
Access credentials (OAuth tokens) used by the App are stored securely and are not committed to version control or shared outside the small team operating the channel. Credentials are rotated periodically and can be revoked at any time via the Google Account’s third-party access settings.
