For Parents & Students
How do I know Prestige’s instructors are safe and qualified?
Prestige operates as a vetted marketplace — every instructor personally applies and is reviewed and approved by our admin team before they’re allowed to teach, similar to how Uber or Airbnb vet drivers and hosts. We don’t publish a roster of unvetted profiles; if someone is teaching on Prestige, they’ve already been through that review.
What if my child doesn’t get along with their instructor?
Your free trial lesson exists exactly for this reason — it’s a no-cost, no-obligation way to confirm the instructor and teaching style are the right fit before you commit to paid sessions. If it’s not a match, let us know and we’ll help find a better one.
Do you offer refunds?
We don’t offer refunds on paid lessons. Because every new student gets one free trial lesson first, you can confirm it’s the right fit before any money changes hands.
What do we need for an online lesson?
A computer, tablet, or phone with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and your instrument (where applicable). Lessons are live and one-on-one — never pre-recorded, never group classes.
How is my child’s progress tracked?
Every lesson is logged toward your goals. For students on an exam track, we track pieces confirmed, memorization progress, full run-throughs, and mock performances, so you can see exactly how exam-ready your child is.
What exam bodies do you prepare students for?
Students on the ABRSM, RCM, Trinity, MUSON or any other musical exam pathway receive official, internationally recognized certification from the respective examining body upon successful completion.
For Students
How much do lessons cost?
$13 per 30-minute one-on-one online lesson, with a free trial lesson before you commit to anything.
What instruments can I learn?
Piano, guitar, violin, voice, drums, saxophone, flute, and music theory. Instructor availability can vary as our network grows — book a free trial and we’ll match you with the right teacher.
Are lessons really one-on-one?
Yes — Prestige only offers private, one-on-one lessons. We don’t run group classes.
What time zones do you support?
Lessons run 24 hours a day with flexible scheduling for international students, so wherever you are in the world, we can find a time that works.
For Prospective Instructors
How do I apply to teach at Prestige?
Prestige is a marketplace: instructors apply, and our admin team personally reviews and approves each applicant before they’re activated to teach — we don’t let anyone teach without going through that review first.
What instruments and subjects are you looking for teachers in?
We’re growing our instructor network across piano, guitar, violin, voice, drums, saxophone, flute, and music theory.
Is this a full-time job or freelance teaching?
Prestige works on a marketplace model — instructors teach independently through the platform rather than as traditional employees, similar to how independent professionals work through Uber or Airbnb.
