By registering for a lesson, creating an account, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our Services
Prestige is an online music education platform offering live, one-on-one lessons in piano, guitar, violin, voice, drums, saxophone, flute, music theory, and other instruments, for students of all ages. We operate as a marketplace: instructors apply to teach and are personally reviewed and approved by our admin team before being permitted to teach on the platform. Prestige facilitates the connection between students/parents and instructors but instructors are independent, not Prestige employees.
2. Accounts, Minors, and Parental Consent
Many of our students are minors. If you are registering a child for lessons, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and consent to their participation on their behalf. Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their child’s use of the platform, including lesson attendance and any messaging with instructors. Student and parent portal access is protected by a PIN issued at registration; you are responsible for keeping this PIN confidential.
3. Free Trial and Pricing
New students receive one free trial lesson with no obligation to continue. Beyond the trial, lessons are billed at $13 per 30-minute one-on-one session, or in discounted packages of 8 or 12 sessions, as displayed on our Admissions page at the time of enrollment. Prices are subject to change; the price shown at the time you enroll applies to that enrollment.
4. Payments and Refunds
Payments are processed through our third-party payment processor, Paystack. We do not store your card details. We do not offer refunds on paid lessons. Because every new student receives a free trial lesson before any payment is required, you are able to confirm the instructor and lesson format are right for you before committing to a paid package.
5. Scheduling, Attendance, and Rescheduling
Lesson times are arranged between students/parents and their assigned instructor, with flexible scheduling across time zones. Reschedule requests should go through your instructor or the parent/student portal. 6. Exam Preparation Pathways
Students on the ABRSM, RCM, Trinity, MUSON, or any other musical exam pathway receive structured preparation toward that exam. Certification, if the student is successful, is issued by the relevant examining body — not by Prestige. Prestige is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official certification issuer for ABRSM, RCM, Trinity, MUSON, or any other examining body; we prepare students for their exams with those bodies.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Prestige’s website, registration system, and portals only for their intended purpose, and not to: misrepresent your identity or your child’s identity; attempt to access another family’s or instructor’s account or records; harass or abuse instructors, students, or staff; or use the platform for any unlawful purpose. Instructors agree to conduct themselves professionally, per our teaching standards, and to treat all communication with minors as visible to a parent or admin.
8. Intellectual Property
The Prestige name, logo, and website content are the property of Prestige College of Music. Lesson materials shared by an instructor remain that instructor’s or Prestige’s property as applicable and are provided for your personal educational use only, not for redistribution.
